VERBS!

Hopefully this will help you when you study verbs.

MAIN VERBS - the action of the sentence

HELPING VERBS - usually in front of the main verb. They are: am, is, are, was, were, will, have, had, has.
When ask to mark the simple predicate please include both the helping verb and the main verb.

LINKING VERBS - small verbs that stand alone. They are: am, is, are, was, and were.
When ask to mark the simple predicate please mark these linking verbs as the simple predicate.

IRREGULAR VERBS -
Verbs that change words with the change of present, past and future tense. For example: (ride, rode, will ride) (run, ran, will run) (stand, stood, will stand).
